| |
Quang-Vinh Tran
is a sophomore at James Madison High School. Born and raised in Vietnam,
Vinh is very proud of his heritage. Currently, he is actively involved
in volunteering at the Multnomah County Library. In the past, he also
volunteered for the Portland Providence Hospital and the Portland Police
Bureau as part of the Neighborhood Law Enforcement Advisory Committee.
He’s a member of Madison’s track and field team and the Academy of
Natural Science Resources. This would be his first year joining the
AAYLC family and also the first time he got involve with the Asian
American community and he’s very excited about that. Of course, he’s
still has a lot to learn from other students who have been to the
previous AAYLC conferences, and is glad to be able to meet them. With
this first step, Vinh hope to be able to make a different for the Asian
Community and would love to attend again next year. Vinh is also
one of the two winners of the AAYLC 2006 Logo Design Competition. His
logo design was used to represent the 2006
theme of "Striving For Excellence".
