Andy Thao:
Beaverton High School

Andy Thao was born in Eureka, California. He is a senior at Beaverton
High School and plans to fulfill his credits by the graduation deadline
by attending Portland Community College. Once he completes his college
transfer credits, he plans to continue his education at Portland State
University.
In the past few months he had made a large improvement academically. He
participates in many school activities involving assemble, fundraising,
and clubs and find many ways to get involved with anything. Even though
he still seems to struggle in school, he finds his way around to make a
difference. He is still learning about his heritage, as part Mong
(Hmong), Laos and Thai.
This is going to be his second year attending the Asian American Youth
Conference and has volunteered to be a student Ambassador. He hopes to
meet the requirements and work with the Asian students to gain more
knowledge and academic skills to help out the Asian community.
