Nathan Nguyen is a senior at Benson High school majoring in Engineering Drafting. Nathan likes math and other logical thinking exercises. He will be going to Portland State University for one year and in his sophomore year he will transfer to Oregon State University to graduate as a mechanical engineer. Nathan currently works at McGuire Bearing Co. as an engineer. He uses a program where he is able to draw virtually anything you see. He takes real objects, such as gears and bearings and draws them on the computer. After finishing the drawings, he sends the drawings overseas to see if they are able to be manufactured according to the drawing plans. Nathan has been on honor roll every quarter since sixth grade and continues to strive forth; taking College Calculus 251, 252, and AP Physics.

He has been involved in many extracurricular activities such as tennis, basketball, Asian club and other various programs demonstrating his leadership abilities. Nathan is very sociable and an energetic person who has a fun and relaxed personality. This is his second year as Student Ambassador for Benson High School. Nathan is also the winner of the AAYLC 2007 and AAYLC 2008 Logo Competition. His designs were used on T-Shirts and folder materials for both years.
