Delfin Tabadak:
Century
High School
| |
Delfin Tabada, or Dudes (nickname since birth), is currently a student
at Century High School in his junior year. He was born in Cebu City,
Philippines, and moved to America between the ages of five and six. He
hopes to study at Oregon State University looking forward to a career in
the field of computer science. He loves to help those in the community
and is always looking for a chance to show his leadership and over all
his passion to work for a greater cause.
Keeping active throughout his high school years, Delfin was busy with
football and wrestling. Outside of school, he volunteered for the
Special Olympics. Through Special Olympics he developed his leadership
skills and workmanship by taking charge and working hard. For about
thirteen years he helped the Special Olympics in every major and minor
event, and till this day, still is. Other than volunteering, he enjoys
art in general, sketching, painting, sculpting, music; etc… With his
artistic background he developed the skills of a guitarist, learning
from his father and himself.
Delfin had never heard of AAYLC until a friend had told him about it. He
thought it to be a great opportunity to get students from his school
involved. He has always loved learning about his heritage and his
culture and is always open to learning more. He felt that this would be
a great experience for our Asian community in his school and promoted
the conference, wanting to be a part of this wonderful program. He found
his resources and his guide lines to make this possible for Century High
School.
