Willie Leung:
Clackamas High School

Willie Leung is a senior at Clackamas High School and he can’t wait
until his graduation. He will become a college freshman at University of
Portland next fall. Willie was born in Hong Kong, China and had lived in
Hong Kong for more than ten years. He and his family immigrated to
Oregon about six years ago. He is fluent in Chinese and English, and he
plans to use this skill to help other people in the future. Willie is
also involved in a couple of clubs at Clackamas High School, Diversity
Club, Japanese Culture Club, Key Club, National Honor Society, and
Badminton Club is some of the clubs that he is involved in.
Willie is interested in Health Care careers because he
wants a job that he is able to help other people. Willie has been
involved in the volunteering program at the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical
Center for about two years. He volunteers at the library, staff
devolvement department, and the Cardiology department at the hospital.
He enjoy volunteer at the hospital because everyone is friendly and
nice. The hospital is also a place where he can learn more about the
facilities, equipments and parts of the hospital. Volunteering is an
activity that he looks forward to every week. Willie also participated
in the Medical Explorer Post at the hospital. This year, he had been
elected as the treasurer at the post.
Throughout his high school years, Willie had attended
AAYLC twice. But this is going to be his first year that he is going to
be the ambassador representing Clackamas High School. He is very excited
about the whole experiences at AAYLC and he is hoping to get more Asian
American to be involved in this wonderful experiences.
