The 17th annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference will consist of 3
mandatory workshops and 1 optional workshop. Mandatory workshops are;
Leadership, Cultural Identity and Career + Career Fair. Optional workshops
are Time Management or College/Financial Aid + College Fair. The
College/Financial Aid workshop + College Fair consist of ~25 minutes of
classroom activities and ~20 minutes at the College Fair to give the high
school students an opportunity to talk and ask questions to more than 30
participating community colleges, trade-schools, ROTC and universities.
NEW THIS YEAR: in addition to being able to recruit our AAYLC
participants, the College Fair will also be open to all Portland Community
College Sylvania students that day. With PCC Sylvania’s yearly enrollment of
approximately 23,900 students per year, there should be constant recruitment
opportunities throughout the day.
