2009 LOGO COMPETITION WINNER & RUNNER UP

Quang Nguyen is a senior from Benson Polytechnic High School. He majors in Communications technology that includes photography/video and web design. Next year, he will be attending Portland State University and will major in Pre-pharmacy. In his free time, he likes to play basketball and make designs on Adobe Photoshop for personal use. He’s also involved in community service with the Asian American Team Leader. Quang is a hard worker and his next goal is to get through college and complete it.

For the design, the light bulb represents aspiration, and the light (white area) emitted from the light represents inspiration. The idea behind the theme is how aspiration to inspire has the ability to reach a broader audience, how a bulb is able to light a space.

Jeannie Vuong is a junior at Aloha High school and has been living in Oregon all her life. She has been involved with National Honors Society, Photography Club and Key Club. After High school, she plans to attend Portland State University or the Art Institute of Portland to study nursing and fashion designing to pursue a successful future.
