2009 Asian American Youth Leadership Conference
(AAYLC) Film Festival!
Deadline: Monday, April 20, 2009
What does this year’s theme, “Aspire to Inspire”, mean to you?
We’re thrilled to announce AAYLC’s first-ever Student Film Festival! We know
there are tremendous amounts of talent and creativity among our students, and we
want to give you a chance to showcase your gifts by creating short films
centered around the theme “Aspire to Inspire”.
There will even be prizes! Film submissions will be judged by the AAYLC Planning
Committee and will be shown at the closing event of the conference. This event
will be open to the public!
Here are the rules:
• Films must address the question, “What does ‘Aspire to Inspire’ mean to you?”
• Films can be no longer than 3 minutes
• Submission deadline - April 20
• You may create the film entire on your own, or create a film with your
classmates (although they have to be attending the conference)
How to submit:
• Remember, the deadline is April 20!
• Acceptable formats: .mov .avi .mp4 .mpg .wmv
• Mail your application (next page) and video on CD-R, DVD+R, DVD-R or DVD+R DL
