Vang-Lo is currently the Academic Achievement Coordinator at Asian
Family Center. Ah received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the
University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in May of 2004. She completed her
Masters of Education/Initial Licensure program and received her
Minnesota teaching license in June of 2005. She holds a transitional
Oregon teaching license and has substituted within Washington County.
She’s held board positions within the Hmong Minnesota Student
Association two years in a row and was an active member for five years.
In addition, Ah volunteer tutors at Upward Bound/Educational Talent
Search program hosted by Portland State University. She also devotes her
time in tutoring two individuals during the week. This will be Ah’s
first year in participating with AAYLC’s planning committee and as one
of the Cultural Identity workshop facilitators.
