Josie
Abuan is formerly from Hawaii but moved to Oregon in 1991. She has her
Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of Hawaii. Josie has
been a Counselor for 22 years of experience working with students in
elementary, middle school and high school. Josie is currently a school
counselor at Southridge High School in the Beaverton School District.
This is her first year volunteering for AAYLC as the Student Ambassador
Coordinator. She enjoyed the experiences she had with different
cultures when she grew up in Hawaii and feels education is as important
as recognizing one's culture. |
