Kevin Nguyen

Kevin Nguyen was born in Denmark and lived half of his life in
California and currently lives in Aloha, Oregon. Fall of 2006, Kevin
graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelors of Science in
Marketing Management and Advertising. While he was in school he
participated as a board member in the American Marketing Association and
competed in National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). His senior
capstone was at Camp Kiwanis, where he learned how to look after and
tend to adults and children with disabilities.
He has held many positions in his life including: fast food,
administrative services, tutoring, customer services, promotions, web
design, and sales. Along the lines of web site designing, Kevin's built
academic sites, small business sites, and personal/individual sites. He
is affluent in HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, and a little in MySQL. He can
design a plethora of materials ranging from collateral to full-scale web
templates using Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Dreamweaver,
Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Currently, Kevin is employed full-time as an Inside Sales Representative
for a company called LaCie. LaCie is a French-based hard drive and
solutions company. When he's not working, he enjoys working out at the
gym, organizing and planning ahead, and going to the movies. Some of his
random skills include being able to solve a Rubik’s Cube, scale cards
like Buddy in "Smoking Aces" and coin-flipping.
Kevin volunteered his time with AAYLC to design and implement the online
Resources page to help Asian students receive assistance on their
academic needs.
