CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
The 16th annual Asian-American Youth Leadership Conference 2008 is scheduled to take place on
Friday, May 9, 2008 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus. The goal of the conference is to enhance and develop the leadership potential of students who themselves or their antecedents are from the continent of Asia. The theme of this year’s conference is “Know our story. Create our vision." The conference is open to high school students from Beaverton School District, Catholic/Private High Schools, Centennial School District, David Douglas School District, Gladstone School District, Gresham-Barlow School District, Parkrose School District, Portland Public School District, Reynolds School District, Tigard-Tualatin School District and Vancouver/Camas School Districts.

IMPORTANT! High school student participants are not allow to attend on their own. They must attend with at least one chaperone per group of up to 15 students. If your high schools are not listed above, please email either Kim Vorasai or Paul Van Mai for details.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS
The AAYLC planning committee would like to invite one student from each participating High Schools to be this year’s AAYLC 2008 Student Ambassador. It is opened to both male and female students who are Junior or Senior class level. The goals of Student Ambassadors are to serve and volunteer their time to promote and do outreach among their student peers for the 16th Annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference on Friday, May 9, 2008 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus. Monday, April 7, 2008 is the deadline to submit your application. For additional details, please email Josie Abuan.

LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION
The Asian American Youth Leadership Conference planning committee would like to invite Asian American students from your high school to enter our 2008 Logo Design Competition. Winning design entries will be on display at the conference and published on the AAYLC.ORG website. The winner(s) will receive recognition for their designs during the 16th Annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference on May 9, 2008 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus. Monday, April 7, 2008 is the deadline to submit your graphic design(s) and registration. For additional details, please email Huy Hoang.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
The AAYLC Scholarship is for this year’s senior students who previously attended the Asian American Youth Leadership Conference or will attend the 2008 Leadership Conference on Friday, May 9, 2008. The scholarship is a one-time award of $1500 and $1000 scholarships to be awarded. Monday, April 7, 2008 is the deadline to submit your application, two references, official high school transcript (through 6 semesters) and a 500 words essay on "Strength Within, Growth Throughout".
