CONFERENCE REGISTRATION
The 18th annual Asian-American Youth Leadership Conference 2010 is scheduled to take place on
Friday, April 30, 2010 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus. The goal of the conference is to help Asian-American youth rise above the obstacles before them and achieve their potential by promoting education, imparting leadership skills and instilling self-confidence. The theme of this year's conference is "Connecting Tomorrow's Leaders."

IMPORTANT! The conference registration is open to high school students from Oregon, Washington and other states. Students and chaperones are responsible for their own transportation and housing to and from the conference. High school student participants are not allow to attend on their own. They must attend with at least one chaperone per group of up to 15 students. Please email either Melissa Thongtan for details.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS - DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010
The AAYLC planning committee would like to invite one student from each participating High Schools to be this year’s AAYLC 2010 Student Ambassador. It is opened to both male and female students who are Junior or Senior class level. The goals of Student Ambassadors are to serve and volunteer their time to promote and do outreach among their student peers for the 18th Annual Asian American Youth Leadership Conference on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Portland Community College Sylvania Campus. LOGO DESIGN COMPETITION - DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010

The AAYLC Logo Design competition is opened to high school students of all grade who plan to attend the AAYLC 2010 leadership conference. Winning design entries will be on display at the conference and published on the AAYLC.org website. The winner(s) will receive recognition for their designs. FILM FESTIVAL COMPETITION - SHORT FILM - DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010
What does this year's theme "Connecting Tomorrow's Leaders" mean to you? We're thrilled to announce AAYLC's 2nd year Student Film Festival! We know there are tremendous amounts of talent and creativity among our students, and we want to give you a chance to showcase your gifts by creating short films centered around the theme "Connecting Tomorrow's Leaders". SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS - DEADLINE MONDAY, MARCH 29, 2010

The AAYLC Scholarships are for this year's high school seniors who will attend the AAYLC 2010 leadership conference. The scholarship is a one-time award of $1500, $1000 and $500. Scholarship applicants must submit their application, two references, official high school transcript (through 6 semesters) and a 500 words essay on "Connecting Tomorrow's Leaders".
